Several days ago someone posted a pic of a Christmas tree that was so pretty it gave me this idea. (Hope I get this pic on right.)

Love it! I love how your picture had a reflection of the flash in just the right spot at the top! Perfect!

I remember that tree. I too thought it was such a wonderful heirloom to pass on down through the family. I like your variety of buttons and the stippling really enhances your wall hanging. We have a box of old costume jewelry and lots of buttons in a button box - I think I need to create one too. Thanks for sharing, this is how we all inspire each other.

What a great way to use your extra buttons - thanks for sharing

Wow...this is so neat...my 90 yr old aunt and I used to make things with odds and ends like this...doll hats, people hats, etc...she passed away last Feb. and I miss her tremendously...this brought back some good thoughts of her...Naomi :>)

Lovely Christmas Tree!! I love using old buttons...even put them on a mirror once to cover up a crack...they're a staple in my crazy quilting! Great job!

What a lovely Christmas tree. I recall when my girl friend and I got together and put all kinds of jewlery onto velvet, it was so heavy when we stood it up and full of such goodies. This year my friend is 83 and her daughters came to claim it and replace things that had fallen out over the years so it could be hung up again. Twenty five years goes by so fast.

sewnsewer2 11-04-2011 12:32 PM
