Can i ask what color you used for the quilting? the dark brown triangles don't have quilting in them correct? trying to learn about what color to use to blend the quilting into the piece and you did an awesome job.

I used a light gray aurifil thread for top and bobbin. The white material has kind of a shiny pattern on it, hard to see in the pics. I found the gray thread really complimented that and it made the quilting pop. I did not quilt in the brown triangles. I was going to switch to a verigated brown thread and do something with them, but did not like how the brown thread looked on the backing.

Really nice quilt, and good quilting. Godson should love it, very male looking colors.

I completed this quilt top a few months ago. It stayed that way until last night when I bought the backing. Starting around midnight I basted the quilt. Then to the machine for quilting! All of the quilts I have done up until now have been SITD. I spent some time yesterday practicing a hooks/swirls motif and decided to use that.

This will be gifted to one of my godsons.

Looks great...
