Church quilt blessed...

Our church quilting group is only three in number.
We finished this quilt and donated it to our church to be hung in our Parish Hall. The international children on it really reflect our effort to share God's love with everyone. |

OH I simply love that. Very cute!!! sort of reminds me of my tole painted stool I did many, many years ago.

Your quilt is beautiful, and charming and easily conveys the message that all children, and their families, are important and valuable. I wonder from time to time if there should be a blessing of the quilts day. So many of us are people of faith and send out works out to bless others. It would be grand to have a united blessing of the quilts event!

The church I was raised in, and the church my children were raised in, had a service once a year where the quilts were blessed before being sent out for whatever mission. They were draped along the backs of the pews, viewed by all attendees, and blessed during the service. When I went through my divorce, one of the church members approached me, and asked how many children I had. When I replied 3, she stated, "Then you will need 4." She went back inside the church and returned with 4 of the quilts. |
