The Spanish class at school is planning a Cinco de Mayo celebration. They asked me to make a wall hanging that they can raffle off. I asked the kids to draw a 12 inch block of what they would like the design to be. When I got it, I looked at Marcia Hohn's Quilterscache site and found a paper pieced block called On a Clear Night. The first pic is is the single block. The second is all 9 blocks. This was the first piece I did that was entirely paper pieced. I had practiced with a NYBeauty, that was very difficult for me. Enjoy!

Many thanks to all of you for your compliments. See what you can do with two snow days and the weekend. It took me 33 hours and I still have to finish sewing the binding. Anytime kids ask you to do something, it is worth the effort.
