Circles of simply colors

I saw a picture of blocks of this pattern and I have followed links to the company and designer but I can't find the pattern. It was supposed to be by Prairie Grass Patterns but I didn't find it there. I drafted my own octagon of 3-1/2 inch squares but it isn't perfect and a little small for a block at 10-3/4 inches. I can try drafting it from a 4 inch square and see if that ends up 12-1/2 but it still won't be perfect. I haven't decided if I want to bother drafting again or continue to search for the pattern. It is a cute designs as when the blocks are sewn together they form connecting circles.

Interesting. This would be a good stash buster for me. Thanks for posting

Tartan, would you post the link to the original quilt/picture you saw so that we could see the original? What you have done is good, but it's not circles.

I found the picture on Pinterest and if you use the little magnifying glass and type in Circles of simply color, it is the one by graceandfavour.blogspot.ca. It was posted on that blog on Dec 13 2012 or Google it. I am computer challenged and don't know how to do a direct link to just the picture.

Oh, I really like the way you did this...may have to adapt something like this for a project.

What a fun pattern for a block tartan. No wonder you are enamored by it. I enjoy doing snowball blocks.
