civil war quilts just back from quilter
 

Both quilts are made in the same pattern, just different material placements. Saw a tute by Jenny on Miss. star and started cutting up some fat quarters. 49 blocks in each quilt, each block has 3 diff. colors. Both drape so nice over our full size bed! Love them, DH has claimed both as his as he thinks all my big quilts are HIS!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts. I always thought civil war quilts were small quilt squares. I love seeing them completed in larger pattern. Gives me ideas as I love civil war fabric but never buy it because I thought it would mostly used for "Dear Jane" size.
