I'm not sure what you mean? I just tried cuttin all the squares in line with the corduroy stripes. Is that what you mean?

Thusnelda, what a pretty quilt and a great use of 'family' fabric for a quilt of loving memories. Churchill is cute too. Looks like you put the sewing machine on the floor to be able to spread the quilt out while sewing. Good idea!!

The machine is not on the floor but on (or rather in) a huge oak table that I (or rather my boyfriend) converted to my sewing table by fitting the machine level into it. It makes a great sewing height and huge sewing area. I love it.
