I showed a small part of this quilt previously. I made the scrap circles (coffee filters) than appliqued them onto a plain square and then sewed the squares together. I sashed the blocks with a black and white stripe sheet. I will show you the front and the back.

I love it! What a fun way to use up scraps :D:D:D

Beautiful!

Did U use the filters as a foundation & later remove the paper before appliquing? Neat idea! Thanks for sharing & wonderful way to use up scraps.

Very nice - the stripes are a great contrast to the circles and bright colors of the plain blocks.

Very clever.

I love your scrappy circle quilt with the stunning black and white strips sheet! Using the coffee filters would make the perfect circles! In art, people are drawn to circles...

One other share...my husband says, "why do you keep those little pieces, they're trash, not good for anything. And why do you get "___" trash". My responce, her trash makes beautiful quilts (she maked boutique items and trashes small pieces of fabric, I love her trash its always fantastic fabrics. |
Hi!I'm new, so you just sew onto the coffee filters and then you rip off the coffee filters like paper piecing? or you leave the filter paper on? thanks
