Colorful cubes 3D and Festival Lights
2 Attachment(s)
Took a year to make because I would put it up and not work on it. Also I changed it up from original pattern because I got tired of making the cubes and how they looked together .I give pattern credit to Sue Jones on her ingenious pattern. The Light Festival is this months McCalls mag pattern. My niece loves purple.

I drew pictures of hollow cubes on graph paper many years ago (probably 20+), but never attempted to piece them. Now there are many patterns for beautiful quilts with hollow cubes incorporated in them. Your quilt is amazing. I love the design and the colours. Now I need to think about making mine.

Your second quilt is wonderful. So different. The cubes are spectacular. The 3D is great. The entire quilt is so interesting and unique.

Awesome quilts. I can see why it took you over a year to make. That is one big quilt with so much detail. Worth the wait though. Bet your niece will love the purple one too.
