My sister and I work at the same place - and recently found out that our co-worker was diagnosed with cancer. We got together to make her this quilt to wrap her in comfort as she goes through chemo.
We cut out the white squares first, and brought them into work so that our other co-workers could sign them, and wish her well too. It is going in the mail this afternoon. |
Beautiful quilt!! What a wonderful thing for you to do!
|
STUNNING! You made a wonderful quilt, I know that it greatly help your friend.
It will not only warm her body, but her soul as well. |

What a great idea -- having co-workers sign squares! And a great pattern -- graphic and colorful and not too complex!
Good job all around. |

What a wonderful gift that you and your sister have made for your co-worker. It was so nice of you to have included all your other co-workers in the quilt. I'm sure she will fell everyone's love as she cuddles under the quilt.

What a wonderful idea!!!! An acquaintance has cancer and is going thru chemo. Her daughter asked me to knit a beret as she is loosing her hair. I wish I had time to send a quilt, but it all happened so fast.

Gorgeous, bright, hopeful quilt. Just what your coworker needed, I'm sure.

WOW -- that is for sure. I am all filled up over it! |
Not only is it beautiful, but incredibly thoughtful as well. She will love it!
|
She will love it, and as a cancer survivor myself, I can definitely tell you that it will be a great comfort to her, both physically and emotionally. If she has chemo, it is always so cold in those areas and her quilt will be great to keep her warm. I was always cold when I went thru chemo, even at home. The signatures will be a great reminder of how much she is loved and supported by her friends, and that helps so much when having a down day.

You're a very thoughtful person. This quilt you & your sister made will bring your co-worker much needed comfort and warmth. When she becomes a survivor it will become a treasure and a reminder of how much others care.
|
