I used a technique recently shown here on board. 2 hearts and traced hands of my children. This was fun and fast

A true keepsake-your children's hands put in a quilt! Once I quilted my hand and my grandaughter's hand on a quilt I made for her.

I have tried to find the link I went to to learn this, but can't find it. I'll keep looking.

Absolutely beautiful! Your fabric choices are perfect. It is so eye catching and inspiring. I'd love to make something like that. I hope you are able to find the link.

magpiefeather 07-27-2011 10:47 PM

yes! I would love to try one...I hope you find the link, yours turned out really nice!

alikat110 07-27-2011 11:33 PM

Okay. I figured it out. The technique from which I drew my inspiration is called Zentangle. It is done with thread, in black and white, but I drew my lines on freezer paper, cut them apart and ironed onto different fabrics,. Then I pieced them back together like a jigsaw puzzle, and stitched them down on a white solid. Although zentangle is done in B&W, I wanted to add the hearts in the pink and red....
