Here is the wall hanging I made my son for Christmas. It is approximately 50 in. long and 24 in. high. He lives in a restored 1908 Craftsman house, and the wall hanging looks made for his wall. He selected the pattern from several I showed him, and we shopped for the fabric together. It was a challenging and enjoyable project, and my son was thrilled with the end product.

Lucky him - beautiful wall hanging. Plus, I simply love the old Sears Craftsman homes - is that what his is?

The pattern was in the Oct 2010 Quilter's World magazine, pp.26-28 It was called "Indian Harvest Runner."
The center appliques are sheaves of wheat.
I grew up in the Palouse wheat country in eastern Washington State, so making this wall hanging was a work of love and reminiscence.

Jeri M 01-11-2011 04:22 PM
