I started this quite awhile ago....Bailey, from this forum, was very helpful and shared her info and inspiration!
I FMQ'ed this 80x80 quilt on my DSM....I marked the Baptist fan, and just free-handed the feathers in the wide border. I posted about my problems with slight puckering on the back-most likely from the bias stitching. Next time, I will stabilize the quilt sandwich with some dissolvable thread first. Learn new things with every project! The fabrics are Tanya Whelan, and quilted with a pale pink 50 wt Aurifil....love the pretty sheen on Aurufil thread! Now yo get her in the washer to get puckered-up! :)

This is so pretty and very sweet. I love to admire both the fabric (I'm a fabric addict myself) and the lovely quilting. Hopefully someday when I retire I will have time to learn to quilt like this!

It turned out beautifully. After seeing your quilt, I made my own Cottage Romance last summer. It sat quietly with some other UFO's until I saved up some $$ to have it LAQ'd. Tuesday, I brought it to be quilted and today I made the binding for it. Cannot wait to see it finally done. Thanks for the inspiration to you and the other couple of ladies who made this particular quilt.

I tried to mark the fans using a circle ruler....it just did not work for me. I purchased a stencil from the stencil company, and it was much easier for me. Still took quite awhile, but it worked for me. I would love to use the rulers that are now available for DSM, but I haven't taken the plunge. Baby steps for me! :)
