Cottage Romance ready to quilt!
 

Thanks to Bailey, QB member, I finally cut up my treasured cottage floral prints! Her beautiful quilt inspired me....I need to quilt it (thinking baptist fan?) and scallop the borders. Sounds so simple, haha!
Pattern is Cottage Romance, found in Better Homes and Gardens "Scrappy Quilts", and fabrics are Tanya Whalen prints.

Beautiful. The colors are beautiful and they do look like "cottage" and they are romantic. Can't wait to see it quilted. I love the bishop fan and scalloped borders. It should be a lovely quilt when all done.

The fabrics are from Tanya Whalen, the "Rosey" line. It's an older line of fabrics that I have had for a few years, and I found a shop online that still has some of the prints-I needed to order more of the white border fabric. If you are interested in the shop, PM me-I am not sure about posting that type of info on the board.... :). I love all of Tanya's fabric lines though-very soft and romantic.

You finished piecing a very pretty feminine top. I think the baptist fan will work very well with this quilt top.

Perfectly beautiful quilt. Why do we love some fabrics so much and yet fear to cut them up for a quilt? Enjoy quilting it. I think Baptist fans would look great and so fitting for the look you seem to want to achieve. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt. It is sure to be a stunner.

Thanks for all of the nice comments! Nygal, the dresser in the picture was my childhood bedroom furniture....so it's an antique at this point! Lol...I had 3 sons, so it has not been used in a long time, and still looks like new! The grand daughters may get it when they are a bit older.
Still attempting to mark the baptist fan pattern on the quilt top....may try to freehand it if I get too bored marking it! ;)
