Mrs. C T.
Are these projects from the first or second book?

Mrs Cotton Theory 04-21-2010 06:08 PM

Hello Atlanta
These projects are all from Book Number 1. Real easy once you get into the folds. When you are done you are done.

Hello
I would not say this type of quilting uses more fabric. If anything you can use scraps, as you are coordinating squares and rectangles into your project, quilting them as you go. I always recommend doing the placemat as their first project and doing it with scraps, to get the idea of the procedure.

Hello
I will need to check out Georgia Steel and her technique. As I am not familiar with her way.

It's Georgia Bonesteel.. she was one of the original lapqilting gurus if not The first. She was there at the beginning of quilt as you go. For us oldies a familiar name.
She still has some quilting shows on TV. Nice to have you with us Ms. CT.

I love the cotton theory projects! Do you think it's possible to learn from the book? The camp looks amazing too. Thanks. Can't wait to see more!

Mrs Cotton Theory 04-22-2010 06:19 AM

Hello
Yes, it is all possible to learn this technique from the book. I am surprised you have not a trip to Camp Cotton as you are soo close, I am jealous. Betty is very informative and it is just wonderful going there.

Hey Suzie
Have you checked out Cotton Theory instructors in Texas as I think this is your nearest state?
