I would not say this type of quilting uses more fabric. If anything you can use scraps, as you are coordinating squares and rectangles into your project, quilting them as you go. I always recommend doing the placemat as their first project and doing it with scraps, to get the idea of the procedure. |

It's Georgia Bonesteel.. she was one of the original lapqilting gurus if not The first. She was there at the beginning of quilt as you go. For us oldies a familiar name.
She still has some quilting shows on TV. Nice to have you with us Ms. CT. |

Yes, it is all possible to learn this technique from the book. I am surprised you have not a trip to Camp Cotton as you are soo close, I am jealous. Betty is very informative and it is just wonderful going there. |
