This is called Court House Steps. I sewed seven random 1.5" strips of fabric together to make a panel then cut the panels into as many 1.5" wide strips as the length of the panel allowed and sewed them randomly together making sure I had the seam allowance pressed in opposite directions. The purple blocks are pieced like an irish chain. This was a fun quilt to make with so many fabrics. Thank you

I did a search for Court House Steps and kept coming up with a form of log cabin type quilt.
