"Cousin" Quilts
2 Attachment(s)
I made this first quilt as a paper pieced stain glass fresia star. I love the secondary pattern that has developed. I had a lot of left over fabric, so I made a quilt using the leftovers. Since the 2 quilts have so many fabrics alike, I am refering to them as cousins. In the second quilt I used a 6 1/2 inch 10 minute block. I have 2 flanges and put my most narrow border on the outside edge which is reverse of what I would usually do. I hope you like them.

Both are beautiful, love the pattern of the 1st one, and the flanges add a very nice touch.
Beautiful quilts, similar but also quite different.
Wow...I absolutely LOVE the second one! great colors! First one is awesome too, but #2 takes the prize!

Awesome job!
Wowee- Awesome quilts! Love what you have created. Another reason this craft is So addictive!
The block pattern is from the book Paper Pieced Stained Glass Garden Stars by Liz Schwartz and Stephen Seifert. The block is called Freesia Star. Each quarter of a block consists of 15 pieces, so each star contains 60 pieces.
