Crazy Quilt, commission for co-worker

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody! I've been away from the PC for awhile (again)....I've been busy trying to finish up this quilt for a co-worker. She liked my fall-colored crazy quilt so much, she wanted one done to match her living room colors. She has an extremely dark teal and a dark wine color furnishings & drapes. I was worried that I wouldn't find much of a variety of coordinating teal fabrics in my local shops, but was pleasantly surprised. I sure hope she likes it as much as I do! (and I hope I attached the picture with the truest color!)

Oh! Oh! Oh! I love it!! And I will not be showing this picture to my (nine-year-old) daughter, as she would not give me a minute's peace until I made a similar one for her! Congrats on a lovely quilt. Alison

The added pressure of doing it for someone else adds to the project. Isn't it always exciting to be able to smile and be especially pleased with the completed project. You have every right; it is very pretty.

The colors are fabulous, nice work :)

I sent her the picture via e-mail, as she is at home recuperating from surgery. She loves it and wants two more (for the kids, I think). I told her to wait and see if she is happy with the actual quilt before she asks for more! I'm just dying to know how well it goes with her interior. I wish I could have sent it out for long arm quilting, but the cost was prohibitive.
Thank you for the kind remarks - all of you!

You are too funny! Is your daughter sewing yet? Perhaps she could handle a pattern like this!

You know, I wasn't going for "rich," as long as I could put together appropriate colors. But if she agrees that it looks rich, I'll be ecstatic!

Speaking of pressure, there was no deadline for this quilt (yippee!).
Thank you all for your nice comments!

This is so pretty. Did you use that fabric you have as your border in every block to tie it all together.
