أHi all

This my first share at bictures with you my crazy, crazy quilt which I made one years ago . I used all my kid bygamas and coton stretchy blouses .

In the middle of every block i used the origenal batch on the top and I rounded with crazy shapes.

At the end It was heavy enogh to quilt, so I uses saten ribbons and made knots every 20 cm.

I hope u like it

Your quilt is really nice and colorful. I like the idea of using your childrens PJS and using the satin ribbon. You did a great job. I have made 2 crazy quilts and have enough scrapes to make another if I can just finish what I have already going on.

I have hand quilted quite a few quilts and love to piece quilts too, a love taught me by my Mother. This, my first picture is not a quilted quilt but one made because my Grandchildren loved to play with the old buttons their Grand and GreatGrandmothers had. An Idea was born in my feeble mind, so I purchased 2 queen size sheets and 2 high loft battings then sewed the buttons on in a grid pattern. Each button has a "backer button", the only purchased buttons and many backer buttons were from the shirts of the men in the family. The buttons were chosen randomly as the two grandchildren decided they wanted them sewn on. There are buttons from Great-Great Grandparents, Great, Grand, parents and their mothers wedding dress and their baby clothes. It was made for the oldest, Kacey, my granddaughter. The grandson got a bluejean quilt with 52 pockets, a gift in each pocket.

The whole quilt.

I am so sorry, I did not mean to jump on sewsan's quilt thread. She made such a lovely and memorable quilt for her child and herself.

Welcome, sawsan, from CT. Your crazy quilt is lovely! I think you'll enjoy this board.

And Gangles, your button quilt is a great idea! I think your grandchildren must have had fun doing it with you - and will continue having fun talking about which button came from which relative!

Your quilt is adorable! I am sending e mails out to my grandchildren with new babies and requested the collect jammies and soft clothes as they outgrow them. Then I can make quilts for the newest 4 great granddaughters all under born in the last 2 1/2 years.
Thanks!
