Actually, I like the triangles as they are! It really makes them POP! (and IMHO most quilts are over-stitched!)

Why quilt that area?? I like it as is...unless u do something simple, big so as not to overpower the parts around it which is absolutely gorgeous!

You need to do something the triangles because that is too much open space and would not holdup(would sag) in time to come.

What about a checkerboard? Or do a triangle pattern.

I don't do long arm but I like it just the way it is, nothing in the triangles. The pattern around them is enough but that's just my opinion.
Oh by the way I love the design you are using, it really looks great with your block. |

Why not try a feathered fan? It would fill the triangles very nicely.

Your quilting is fantastic. What ever you decide to do in the triangles, I am sure it will be lovely.
