Had the book for yrs and opened it once...Then I saw that my local QS was giving classes so that was much easier then trying to figure it out myself

Hattie Frances 10-18-2012 01:00 PM

Love it, what book was it?

labeelady 10-18-2012 01:02 PM

Beautiful work! I saw this demo'd at a quilt guild meeting. They showed a special ruler that you use to make the blocks.
Did you make your own or did you even need one?

Beautiful quilt. I love the pattern and the colors you used.
One of the students in a science class where I work had a book on Origami today. It had ideas about using origami patterns in quilts. Of course, I was interested. I may have to find that book in the library later.

Okay, I think I get it now.
That tutorial I referenced had me a bit confused.
You only cut 2 of the fabrics (those pictures didn't make it clear)
Ordered the book already - the drawings of the motifs will be helpful.

No special ruler needed. Only thing I had to buy was a tiny rotary cutter...eiher 24 mm or 18 mm
