Looks like you've got plenty of space. - LOL - But in the interests of your back I hope you get a table soon.

You are obviously a lot younger than me. My knees couldn't take that. Have you tried your kitchen counters? They're usually at a good height.
What about putting a board on your ironing table, your mat on top of that and use that as a cutting area ?

LMAO... I never thought of the kitchen counter! Thank you guys for mentioning that... I will definitely start cutting there until I get a table. :-D

Happy Birthday Clem You are blessed with strong knee's to caring on to our most important mission's in life Happy Birthday to you and many more
thank you! But, I sure dont have strong knees, not anymore!! That's why I said to be careful of the joints. Right now I am putting off decisions to have knee replacement, hip replacement, and major back surgery . I can hardly walk because of spinal stenosis that has caused numbness from the knee down on one leg ,and both feet. And it hurts. Not complaining, although it sure gets old, at least I can still walk, just slow and waddle like the Happy Penguim!!
OUCH! Just THINKING about that makes my knees ache! - and how would I get UP from the floor after flopping down? ahhhhh to be young again, and having the body work like it use to......
ahhhh... Youth! I remember it well... lol
I cut on the floor some times. Or the kitchen counter

Just shows you nothing gets in the way of a quilter when she wants to quilt!
