I would never be able to get up off the floor! I use the top of my chest freezer in the garage to cut fabric (when the weather is cool) or the top of my washer and dryer - just lay the cutting board over both of them. At times, I even used my kitchen counter.

At least you can still get down there :roll: :lol: I wouldn't be able to get back up without the rescue squad :roll: :lol:

Ah, memories of sitting on the floor with my sewing machine on the coffee table. Bless your back!

Ditto for me. When I get down there, I can't get back up. The old knees aren't what they used to be!!

A girl gotta do what a girl gotta do. Nothing will keep you away for the passion that you have for making quilts.

If only I had a good back and oh, knees to go with it. You are definitely a "diehard quilter".

I have done that when I was in a bind and away from home, but I have too many years on me to try it now. It makes my back ache to think of you on your knees cutting fabric on the floor, but it makes my heart sing knowing you are such a dedicated quilter that you can make do with whatever..........I can relate. :) Wishing you luck in getting a cutting table, and as dedicated as you are, I'll bet you have one in no time flat !
