D9P and applique
 

Finished this top just today. Not too sure I care for my applique but I really like the colors!

I like the flower applique as it compliments the floral fabrics. I also like the wider binding.

I love it - I just made one up for my DGS out of old shirts. I ran out of pieces before I got the quilt as large as I wanted so I added a border. I should put something on it now too. Thanks for the inspiration. UH Wilbur wouldn't like flowers...

Can't see pictures, since board changed I'm having trouble seeing all the pictures, can see some.

I guess I think the applique looks like of 'small' for the border area but I wanted to leave room for decorative quilting....
I thought of adding more applique but didn't want to OVERdo it.

Oh, I am very impressed with your appliques. I just finished a quilt that I put appliques on the border, too. I got it done the first time and the border looked blank, so I added appliques and some hand embroidered designs and it made all the difference in the world. Yours are so pretty and so balanced and the colors overall are really great. Thanks for sharing.

I like it and the colors

I love the way the D9P turned out and your applique sets it off beautifully as the flowers compliment the floral in your patches. Thank you for sharing, it motivates me to want to try applique. Just enough to no overwhelm me.
