I had wanted to try D9P, but did it a little different.

Very nice.

WOW!!!! That is so beautiful! And one of the prettiest DP9 I have ever seen!
|
I love it!

Wow, D9P took a not so interesting arrangement to one that keeps the eye moving in an upward pattern. Question, in first pic some of the hearts were upside down & in second they're all upright? Did you use your scraps, or does your pattern call for these diff fabrics. Very nice effect.

That turned out great. I love the addition of hearts to the pattern. It turned out wonderful.

It is all scrappy... trying to use up my scraps. When making the hearts (6.5") I made sure that I only used lights for the triangles, other than that I just let go and grabbed scraps. Thanks for the kudos |
That is very lovely. I think I will add that to a list to do some day. D9P looks very easy.

Looking at the finished top again, the hearts look like flowers to me. See if anyone else think the same.
|
the hearts are gorgeous. That is a great D9P.
|
Oh I like it!

I love this pattern. I use it for lots of different things. The basic square with the heart is on ask.com. The square size is determined by the length of the heart. The bottom triangles are 1/5 squares that are 1/2 the length of the heart. The top triangles are 1/4th the length of the hearts. So a 6.5" square will have a 3.5" bottom square and a 2" top squares and 3.5 X 6.5 rectangle. For an 8.5" heart square you would use a 4.5 X 8.5 rectangles, 4.5 " squares for the bottom and 2.5" squares for the top. Hope this helps.

I have actually been thinking of doing something similar! Okay, not with hearts with with a different block - for my son's teacher. That dpn is so fast and fun but I wanted to jazz it up a bit - I think you were thinking the same thing!!

I never thought about doing a pieced block for the four corners! Hmm, just thinking of possibilities! Hmm, applique would be neat too! LOL now you got me to thinking up another project! |
lovely... with a big heart !!
|
D9P really nice - I like the way it looked before you cut it too. Think I'd have had a hard time cutting that one up. Might not have been able to do it!!!
|
I love this quilt.
|
I am making the same quilt pattern for my dau's wedding gift. How are you going to quilt it?
|
I like, I like.
|
I haven't liked this pattern too much because it always looks confusing to me. The hearts make it make sense and I might try it after all!
