I was asked if I had enough time to quickly quilt on 4 lap quilts. I said yes after hearing the story. A friend of mine lost her husband a year ago and she wanted to make 4 quilts (one for each of their children) and have the quilts made out of the Dad's shirts. So all 4 quilts were made and I long-armed them together in time for Christmas. The picture below is the daughters quilt with 4 hearts in it. Wont that be a great gift for them? :-D

So special. We lost a dear friend a week ago, and I want to suggest this to the wife for their 2 grown children. Just don't want to do it too soon, or wait to long.
