Dahlia Garde

That title was supposed to say Garden. I finished this wall hanging today that is for me and I really like it. It adds a splash of color to my mostly neutral walls. The back is black and I used black thread for quilting so nothing to show there. Took longer than I first thought because I roughly outlined all the flowers and leaves within the window and then quilted different ways outside the main window. Thanks so much for sharing this. I quilt and raise dahlias. This would be a great fund raiser for my dahlia group. Sorry for the double picture, but this is a bunch that I picked yesterday. To get ready for the show on Sept. 17, I have to harvest all the blooms that are out now, so that the next blooms are bigger. My competition at the shows is a collection of little old men who have more time than I do.

Where did you get the panel. I googled Timeless Treasures but did not find it.

I have not mastered this picture upload set of instructions. I did not mean to put this 3rd picture on here.

I found the one panel at Hancock's of Paducah, but the 2nd panel is out of stock.

Just beautiful pictures. I found my panel on Ebay. Here's one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-X-44-Pane...sAAOSwauJZedsl There's also another panel consisting of the individual dahlias that you fussy cut but I didnt see one of those there.

Edit: Found a different one on equilter. http://www.equilter.com/product/2164...-digital-print This might do. The one I had had more pictures and I'm glad it did because I messed up the cut on a couple of mine.

DonnaPea 08-25-2017 09:56 AM

Absolutely gorgeous fabric!

Marcia your Dahlias are absolutely beautiful - they show the cross breeding with chrysthemums very well. Hope you win the competition.
