My sister and I went out to the show yesterday. We spent hours wondering through the quilts, drooling over the jaw dropping beauty and craftsmanship on display. The quilts where amazing. We especially enjoyed the display of WWI& WWII era quilts.

Here's one I forgot to put in. The tag said she pieced it first, then quilted it, then all the paisley was embroidered & attached to the quilt. The picture doesn't do it justice!

I can see what it won Best of Show- it's totally awesome and the back of the quilt is exquisite too. What an amazing quilt/quilts. Thank you so much for sharing your great pictures - they are truly awe inspiring. I'm no where near that type of quilt making, but it's something to strive for. Thanks again.

I intended to go to this show but things got in the way. Maybe I'm glad I didn't; these make my own efforts seem even punier than they are! LOL!

Thanks for showing all these! I'm especially glad since I was not able to attend. Some truly imaginative and gorgeous work here!

Wow Wow WOW!!! I am in awe! Cindy, is this show an annual show? Is it always held the first of March? Is there a website? I'm close enough to possibly make this trip, but didn't know about the show... Thanks for the show-and-tell!!

Yes, this is an annual show, same time each year & it's put on by the Dallas Quilt Guild. Just Google them. There were quilts entered from NM, OK, KS, MO & Nebraska. It's not just the local folks. It's a 3 day show with 400+ quilts on display & lots of vendors. Put it on your calendar for next year & give me a shout & I'll meet up with you!

All that talent makes me feel so inadequate. But they were so pretty! My favorite was the pineapple quilt. Thank you for giving us this treat.
