Dallas Quilt Show
 

Here are some pics of the Dallas Quilt show this weekend. It's going to take several posts to get them in, but enjoy!
The first 2 are of the Best of Show, front & back. The back had so much bling it was almost blinding!

The theme this year is Modern, so here are some of the modern quilts.

Something a little different this year, machine embroidered. These quilts were all done in the hoop, then quilted.

Of course, there were Judy Niemeyer patterns there too!

The Mexican tiles design has become popular lately too. Here's a couple of them. I think my favorite was the one done in all purple.

This one is an antique tablecloth done the way Cindy Needham does.

If you've never been to this show, you must! over 400 quilts on display & lots of vendors. Lots of eye candy!!

Awestruck! The talent (and obvious patience) is simply incredible. I look at these and marvel and then get totally depressed thinking that level of talent is totally unobtainable for me. Still amazing to look at though and I will keep plugging away trying to get better and challenge myself.

Superb pictures .... thanks for sharing. If I can't go to a quilt show, I sure enjoy those who went sharing pictures. I know I could never do anything that exquisite but it's something to work towards. Those are more than beautiful ....

Thank you for taking the time to upload all of these for us! The last time I went to a quilt show, I was so tired of hearing myself say, "Oh, my gosh!!" . . . I told my friend I would give her a quarter from then on every time I said it. I've often said that what I do should have a different term than what these quilters do. I can't imagine the talent and perseverance that is required to make one of these.

I should have gone. Have a daughter that lives in Forney and one out of Canton. Thanks for sharing with us. I would have really liked to have seen all those beautiful quilts, but I am enjoying sitting here in my warm home drinking coffee and seeing all these creations.
