Another wallhanging and nowhere to put it. I love appliqué and working with batiks . So perhaps I'll find a space somewhere. Thanks for looking.

nativetexan 03-06-2017 02:10 PM

goodness, that is lovely. I hope you find somewhere for it.

feline fanatic 03-06-2017 02:11 PM

Gorgeous. I could see this hanging in the show hall!

osewme 03-06-2017 02:44 PM

That's a fantastic wall hanging. I love applique also but could never do something like that. What method of applique did you use? How did you stitch around the applique? Could we see a close up of the very small areas like the ladies arms?

Tartan 03-06-2017 03:19 PM

Lovely! So smoothly flowing and energetic at the same time. Would inspire me to get out of bed and DO SOMETHING! I vote for a bedroom wall for hanging it.

coopah 03-07-2017 05:49 AM

The movement of the ladies' dresses makes this really wonderful! I alternate my wall hangings, so maybe you could do that. Enjoy your lovely work!

mjmachin 03-07-2017 06:00 AM

Thank you for all the kind words. I always appreciate the replies I receive. I mostly do a satin stitch on the appliqué , using an embroidery thread in a colour as near to the fabric as I can. I make the width of the satin stitch as narrow as I can. Batiks are best for that as there is less fraying.I've taken two close ups for you. Hope this helps.
