I had hoped to finish this for Christmas, but I attempted to pick up the backing fabric at a local warehouse on Friday and they weren't there. So, it will have to wait until the fabric arrives in the mail, likely in January (excuse my sarcasm).

I would still wrap Darth Vader up so that someone can open and be surprised with what you are making.

I agree, i'd wrap it up and they the recipient know this is what they are getting. it turned out great.

I'm sorry but I can't see it good enough to see how you did this. Is this a panel and you peiced the sides? I really like this and am sorry I can't see it good. I bet it was sure a hit.

I bought the same kit. I couldn't get mine done in time for Christmas either. I pieced the back out of Star Wars fabric scraps. Still can't decide how to quilt the borders.
