A Day & Night Quilt For My Brother

1 Attachment(s)
Being the second oldest of 9, I didn't really have a plan to make bed sized quilts for my siblings. Perhaps lap quilts, but not bed sized quilts. At least not until my girls are grown and I"m no longer home schooling. Then, this year, the second and third youngest of us graduated (twins) and they both wanted a quilt as a joint Christmas/Graduation gift. How could I say no to the babies of the family? The actual baby of the family, who just turned 17 and is graduating this month, could care less about a quilt, but the twins are sentimental souls and since there's 12 years between myself and the twins, I'm quite maternal with them. Especially after our mother passed 8 years ago and I'm the second oldest (after my step sister).

When my brother requested a quilt, I instantly knew what to make him. Whenever he visits me, he claims my Day & Night quilt for his blanket for the trip. So, I knew I wanted to make him one of his own. Thanks for looking!

Oh, no, I haven't been brave enough to attempt PP patterns, yet. This was made from Eleanor Burns' pattern.

SonjaG 12-01-2012 12:11 PM

Wow, you have turned out another great quilt. Again, I like the color contrast. Super job.
