does anyone recognize this embellishment on double wedding ring? Looks like might be able to 'just' add the color pieces to the insides of the white pieces before sewing together??

does anyone have a pattern or suggestions? Thanks!

Never seen it before but it is strikingly beautiful.

franie 08-27-2010 09:42 AM

Gorgeous!

Quilter7x 08-27-2010 09:44 AM

I have never done a wedding ring before, so I haven't studied the pattern too much. This one is beautiful - maybe because it's done in my favorite color!

sharon b 08-27-2010 09:45 AM

Have never seen it before , but it is stunning

dakotamaid 08-27-2010 10:04 AM

This is the variation called blazing star wedding ring, I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That is a Judy Niemeyer Bali Wedding Star done in two colors. I am in the middle of it as a king size right now.

quiltin amma 08-27-2010 11:08 AM

WOW!!!I'm making Marti Mitchell's log cabin variation of the double wedding ring and I thought it was great----this one trumps them all. I may have a new pattern in my sights!!

np3 08-27-2010 11:08 AM

Well I'm adding that one to my list. Beautiful!!

dforesee 08-27-2010 11:11 AM

I checked on the pattern and it is $50. Why so high?

quiltin amma 08-27-2010 12:42 PM

Is this her design or did she just adjust it for paper piecing?

Ditter43 08-27-2010 07:24 PM

I've never seen that pattern....It is striking! Is that all you have? :-D

canmitch1971 08-27-2010 07:25 PM

A friend made those four circles as a table topper while taking a class. She can't find any instructions so I tried posting it here. Sometimes you folks on this website can pull off near miracles when it comes to finding patterns! You're all amazing; I'm so glad to be a part of the gang here.

annette1952 08-27-2010 10:35 PM

I haven't ever seen it before but it is beautiful!

elena 08-27-2010 11:18 PM

W  W!!!
So beautiful!!!

tlrnhi 09-10-2010 05:15 PM

That's gorgeous! I'd make it in the blues and whites, but I bet it would look stunning in reds and whites!
Just what I need, another pattern to add to my collection. Sure hope I live to be 1000!!

Lynneander 09-10-2010 05:19 PM

Stunning!

postal packin' mama 09-10-2010 06:24 PM

I finally found out it's called WEDDING RING SPARKLE, and the design, we think, is by Judy Niemeyer.

Blue Bell 09-10-2010 06:24 PM

Wow! Gorgeous.

franie 09-10-2010 06:25 PM

Yup Judy N.'s pattern.

Friendly Quilter 09-10-2010 06:26 PM

I do not know the pattern but could it be paperpieced??? It is really pretty.

Rachel 09-10-2010 06:32 PM

I have a friend that just finished this top. It is all paper pieced. Took her the better part of a year to finish it (king size), but its beautiful. I think she's getting pretty tired of it, but I think she'll love it again once its finished. I have the pattern, but am not ready to attempt it yet.

Look at Judy Neimeyer's Bali Double Wedding Ring. I saw one made up at the AQS Quilt Show in Knoxville and it is absolutely fantastic!! I REALLY want to make one be don't have a bed left to put it on nor anyone getting married to give one to. I'll keep thinking, though, and sooner or later I'll find a way to justify it!!

tlrnhi 09-10-2010 09:46 PM

If you REALLY want to make one, go for it! I think I would like it in blues and whites or reds and whites.
I'll wait for it while you make it.
See? Problem solved....I just justified it for you. :)

Sadheart 09-12-2010 09:16 PM

My mom made me a double wedding ring for my wedding.
The points on your quilt topper. Look like the points from the Mariner's Star.

Rosyhf 09-12-2010 09:24 PM

Yes I have made that one and it is Judy Niemeyer' pattern.

Donna P 10-24-2012 06:36 PM
