A true beauty! Boggles my mind to think about all that piecing. Whew ...... Now THAT is what you call an heirloom, for sure.

k3n 03-20-2009 07:25 AM

I just nearly made one block today at quilt group - although the size is enlarged to 6", there are so many tiny pieces - 44 intotal for this one block! I know, I should have done more - too much gassing and not enough sewing!

WOW this is really pretty. I need to break mine out again and get going.

Butterflyspain 06-09-2009 02:29 PM

Ok gassing is something we do here a LOT, no not what your all thinking.

You all have some funny saying as well you know. Like the faucet. The what, you mean the tap. The sidewalk, Ah the pavement. See we all have funny sayings, I love them all, (g)

retrogirl02 08-02-2009 09:39 PM

Marcia,
This is an amazing quilt. What a fantastic job your friend did and considering how many blocks & triangles there are, 6 years isn't that long. I'm thinking I may do one....in my lifetime....and it will probably take me that long!!

Iluv2quilt 08-02-2009 10:35 PM

WOW!! Now that is a very pretty quilt, looks so difficult. I can see why she's an inspiration to you!

Sheree from Chicago 08-10-2009 07:50 PM

Your friends quilt is really beautiful. Six years???????????????

butterflywing 11-27-2009 09:47 AM

marcia, i don't know how this went unnoticed. this is really magnificent.

Sheila Elaine 01-23-2010 05:27 PM

Totally awesome is all I can say.

sandpat 01-24-2010 06:03 AM

Marcia...does she have it back from the quilters yet? I'd love to see how it was quilted. It is sooo beautiful!

paintedquilt 01-24-2010 06:35 AM

WOW

Yay! Hand quilting rules. It will be awesome.

cindyg 07-16-2010 03:20 PM

WOW - gorgeous. I wouldn't know how to begin to quilt this quilt. Very carefully, I know that. I'm impressed.

wvdek 07-16-2010 03:50 PM

I cannot imagine the amount of hours, blood, sweat, and tears that went into that quilt. It will be quite an heirloom.

Diane007 11-03-2012 03:02 PM

lots of work very nice

mtngrl 11-03-2012 03:07 PM

Wonderful! I don't think I'd have the patience for all of those intricate little blocks, I admire her greatly ( and anyone else who has finished a Dear Jane quilt. )
