I tried searching for my pics of my sewing rm and couldn't find them as I wanted to show before pics of the mismatched furniture. Well I finally got around to moving in a smaller desk { after I painted it black} for the sewing machines [well 2 of the machines ]. Finally painted that $8.00 cabinet I p/u at the thrift store a few months back and my last find this monday is the too cute red hutch.
Most say I am in ahhh I just keep going in my room and looking.

Great room. So bright and happy. I should have you come to my sewing room (dog house). You've done a wonderful job fixing it up. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to take another look at my space and see what I can do to make it so bright and cheery.  Looked again and noticed your lamp is plant pots. Did you make that? So cute. You are definetely crafty.

I love your sewing room. So bright and cheerful. You method of storing the pieces of batting is wonderful. Much better than my stuff in a tote way.

sewmuchmore 10-13-2010 07:18 AM

Love it, I wish I could keep mine that neat. I'll pull out fabric and this and that and before I know it I have turned it up side down. :?

kriscraft99 10-13-2010 07:49 AM

oh it is so pretty & bright! My room is lime green but once I moved all of my pattern cabinets, bookshelves, armoire & hutch in - there is very little green to be seen - plus it always looks like a tornado came through - Your room is so nice & neat and pretty!! :)

ChubbyBunny 10-13-2010 10:54 AM

You did such a fabulous job with your sewing room. Love all the little details and how you used your space so wisely.
I really love the hanger for your supplies, what a cute Idea, Maybe you could share the pattern with us or do a tute.

I love it. I want one like it. If I put that much funiture in mine I wouldn't have a place to walk. My room is very small but I do have a sewing room so I feel fortunate.

what a wonderful and cherry room!! I think I could stay in there all day every day!

cathyvv 10-13-2010 04:13 PM

Love the hutch! I also love thrift stores - have a couple of bedrooms furnished from them - except for mattresses. The rooms look great, in part because my sweet husband did some 'clean up' work on them, and partly because I seem to have and 'eye' for picking used furniture!

trueimage 10-13-2010 04:24 PM

How charming!!!!!!!!!

Thank-you Brenda. The stabilzer holder was super easy. I used canvas fabric for the back folded for stability-approx a yard & a half. Then covered 14 x 14 pieces of ugly canvas for the holders. I only sewed the top & bottom of holder, used no sew glue to attach the holder parts. Does that make sense?

Thank-you everyone for all your nice complements. I didn't used to be such a thrifty frugal shopper but life changes forced me to be and now I find I love it, the hunt for what I want, the refinishing it if needed, love the satisfaction when its done & in place. I don't get to spend as much time as I would like in my room but when I do I find gets lots done, because I am anal about the whole organizational thing its very easy to walk back in and pick up where I left off.
Again thanks everyone :-D

I love all the bright colors. Wonderful idea on the quilted batting roll holder!
