Denim Purse and Scarf to Match
1 Attachment(s)
Just finished my scarf to match my Denim purse. The scarf is made with Starbella from Premier Yarns. The pattern is on their website, only 8 stitches and a couple of hours. I made several purses without a pattern, from 2 1/2" strips with batting. Zig zagged together similar to the clothesline purses. The batting is a softer look and stitches up much nicer in my opinion. I also made the button from Fimo clay. Hard to find large buttons in the colors I need.

Love the bag and the scarf. I made one of the scarfs for DD. I need to make myself one as well. So easy and so cute. Nice job.

Both are wonderful. That bag is so extraordinary. And you even made the button. I loved seeing them.

i LOVE THEM BOTH!!! so funny I came across this post, Ive just learned how to do those scarves. They make up so quickly. :) Yours looks great.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I made several bags in different colors. I would love to be able to sell them, but they are very time consuming. I recently lost my job and hopefully I can sell some of my items. Just need to find a good source to market them other than Etsy and Ebay. Not ready for that at this time. I need to take baby steps as working full time all my life consumed me.

|
Just lovely

Both your scarf and bag are wonderful! I went to the Premier Yarn site and printed out that pattern .... and several more I am sorry to say. Yeah, just what I need, more projects!!! Anyway, I also found this youtube demo (at the end of this paragraph) for the bag that I think is the same method that you used, maybe? I sure do like the idea of using the batting instead of the clothesline. I have made a clothesline mat and it is very stiff so the batting method should be wonderful for a softer bag. Thanks so much for posting this.
