Design Layout
3 Attachment(s)
Ok, I'm putting this quilt together for a little girl. She only wanted purple and zebra, so it's a 2 color quilt. So I layed out the blocks in a few different positions. But can't decide what would be best for a 16year old....would love the opinion of my fellow quilters. thanks
(it's my first time uploading pics, so hopefully all 3 appear. |
I vote for layout number 2.
I showed this to my SIL, who is visiting and we both agree that the last one, with the pinwheels, is the one that really pops the eyes. What great colors.
My preference is No. 3 -- Love the movement of that one.
I would vote for No. 3 also. I think a teenager would love it being more vibrant and less structured!
I love design number 3. I think that it shows off both fabrics so well. Be sure to let us know what you decide and post pictures when you are completed with it.
I vote for #3 pinwheels!
#3 was my choice...and of yours also...so I feel better. I think I'll go with that one for her.
I like #1 and #2 for myself....maybe I'll make myself one. |
I like number 2~
I like #2 best but they all look good.
#2 or #3 would be wonderful. I have always been partial to pinwheels though.
#3 - pinwheels!
I think I like #2 most. Three is to busy and one would be my second choice. I think whichever you choose she will like it.

I really like #2. The pinwheel one is cool but to much on my eyes (just my opinion)
she's 16 and imho too old for pinwheels. stop yelling ladies. lol I love #1
my vote goes to #2
I vote for #3. Lots of motion to catch the eye.
I really like the way layout 3 looks. Let us know what you decide to do.
I vote for the pinwheels. They make a gorgeous quilt.
I like 2nd layout
I vote for number 3....for all the above reasons....have fun with this quilt
I vote for #2.
I like #2 the best
I vote for number 3.
I vote for #3
For a 16 year old, I would go with #3. They are all gr8!!
My vote is #3.
Actually I like number two... Gives it a reallly good pattern. Further apart is better and doesn't look so jumbled.
i like #2, but can't go wrong with any of them...
I think the teenager will like the movement in #3.
I like #2 also but any setting will look great with those fabrics!
I like #1 best! then #3, then #2. All are pretty, and I think a 16 yo would like any of them! Her color/print choices are awesome!
I would go with # 2... but what about the zebra print on each of the corners of the blocks.. making a purple square in the center of each block?

Love #3 !! I have 3 teenage granddaughters (two are 16 yr olds and one 17yr old)
& they ALL picked #3 :) |
I vote for number 3. I just love the movement with the fabrics in this layout. Have fun choosing and hope you show us the finished quilt. Thanks for sharing.
I like layout # 3
i vote for 3
the colors are so intense that the 2nd one my give some separation to allow both colors to shine on their own. (if anyone knows what a 16-yr-old likes, let me know. I have one). That being said, I like all the combinations and I bet she'll like the one you choose.
