Detail work on a Landscape

Finally found the time and energy for the five days of micro quilting required to make this piece show ready. The piece was entirely small raw applique, not fused, but glued so it needed the covering of white tulle to finish.

Gorgeous and inspiring! :)

Definitely a work of art and demonstration of patience!

Absolutely Stunning!
|
Lovely and a nice welcome to spring!
|
Beautiful, I respect anyone who micro stitches.
|
That is breathtaking!
|
what a masterpiece! Tell us about the tree trunk. How did you achieve the lighting? It looks like a combination of fabric choices, thread coloring, and fabric painting. Please share. Lighting is the hardest technique to master, for me, in artwork. You seem to have achieved perfection. Congrats!

Gorgeous, it is really a beautiful show piece that you keep coming back to, to drink in more details.
|
Incredible and beautiful

Amazing! Thanks for the close up pictures. I wondered if you changed thread colors and now I see that you did! You are very gifted with your choice of fabric colors to make the scenery so realistic.

That is outstanding! I hope you get best in the show! I admire you work and the patience it must have required.
|
VERY lovely. I start each day by viewing the most current pictures posted on Quilting Board. Have to tell you that your beautiful landscape quilt is my "pic" of the day. I make landscape quilts and can SO appreciate the work & time you have invested in this work of art.

It is stunning...and love all the detail. You certainly have an eye and are very talented with FMQ. Someone posted something of the like...your work is of an artist. I so want to try a landscape project, in fact it is on my list of goals for 2018.

Wow, that is fantastic.

A true work of art!

I just love your work, MaryKatherine! Wish you lived closer and we could snag you for a workshop at my guild!
