This is gorgeous. Where can we get the pattern?

The pattern is from an Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day Book entitled, "Diamond Log Cabin" table cloth or tree skirt. It's a very easy pattern that makes up fairly quickly. This one only has 3 darks and 3 lights. I've made several with only the 3 lights and 3 darks and they fit the trees wonderfully. The pattern from Ms. Burns instructs you to use 4 light and 4 dark and makes quite a large tree skirt. I made one with 4 of each color for my 12' tree and it looks great. Good luck and post a picture when you've finished.

What size is it. I have gone to a slim tree so my tree skirt is too large. I love yours. It is beautiful and beautifully done.

anicra - this is just stunning. i have to get that pattern. will be looking for the book. thank you for posting.

i started a poinsettia pattern from charlie (rounds with petals) but it was too much work for the short time i have. this would be so much easier.

Thanks, this tree skirt measures 55" across on the flat sides and 66" across from point to point. The nice thing about this pattern is that you can modify it. I made one following the directions given in the book and it measures 78" from point to point and fits my 12' tree perfectly. This one is made for a slim tree and should fit nicely. I made one years ago for a 2' tall tree and just adjusted the width of the strips. It's almost all done by strip quilting.
