Wished that I had thought of it When mine were little.

What a cute and useful idea. I'm needing a couple of baby gifts, so this would be perfect to put with them.

I've made hundreds of the tissue covers, and they do sell great at craft shows. They also make a very inexpensive table favor for meetings or bag favors at conventions, etc.

I agree, this fabric looks like tooled leather. This would also make great new granny gifts.

Janice4, you could use Iron on Velcro if the material can be ironed. I have used it and it holds up well. I got it at Walmart. I'm another Janis

If Walmart has the whole big display of Velcro, meaning the stick-on, and sew-on, that is where you will find the Iron On velcro. It is a little more expensive, but easier to use the the sew on one. It comes either in strips or in circles, I don't remember which, but it definately is not fabric. Good luck finding it!!

I worked on another one of these today to fine tune the pattern and have the flaps hemmed and inside before sewing around it.
