I know you didn't intend for the edges to ruffle but I like the effect. They both look wonderful! I know she will love them! How can she not? you made them specially for her and her baby with lots of love!!

I think they are both lovely. We are always so critical of our own work. My husband reminds me, you don't have to be perfect, just be you.

I'm sure they will like it. Have you washed and dried it after SID? I would do that and then spray starch and iron if you're really not happy with it. But I really don't see any problems with it. You did a great job.

However, if you back them with flannel it's very hard to quilt them straight without a walking foot for SID or a darning foot for free motion. Even then flannel has a tendency to go sideways on you once in awhile. This is just a suggestion for the future. There is nothing wrong with either of your projects and she will love them.

Thank you very much. I didn't use any flannel in this one but do in a lot of them, so I'm going to write this info in my quilting book. I used a walking foot for both of them.

I like them both - the panel for the changing pad is so cute, and the dogs are such a nice touch on the blanket.
