A different kind of log cabin
 

This is a log cabin quilt (in progress) based on a design for a Navaho rug. While I don't think I'll ever make another log cabin quilt by hand, it seemed appropriate at the time, given the inspiration.

Oh, that's so pretty. The colors are perfect for that quilt.

Very pretty and nice color palette. This type of LC design is found in antique as well as contemporary quilts. It is commonly referred to as a Greek Key Log Cabin.

A lot of quilts are fashioned out of rugs and floors of churches , cathedrals, and gov't buildings. Yours is gorgeous.

This would be perfect for my son. Love the colors as he wanted something a tad less bright than what I made him. My d-I-l took that one.
