Disappearing 4 patch--I wanted to try it, but with these colors....

I call this color choice black and white splash! I used 4" squares. This is going to be a "Tummy-time" quilt for my first grandchild who is late! :-) I want him or her to have something to look at. The back will be flannel with pastel letters. The binding will be yellow or green, I think. It's about 34" by 40". It's layered and will be quilted soon.

yes very nice bright colours....

Maybe a red binding? The colors aren't exact--well--the bottom has a shadow of me, and the rust color looks more red here.

wonderful quilt for a baby! It will be great as he or she notices color and even better as a toddler to learn the names of colors. Beautifully done D4P!

What a great quilt for the new grandbaby to play on with all those bright primary colors and high contrast. Beautiful job Karla. Make sure you post pics of it in use!

How very fun! I think your baby quilt is adorable and oh so perfect in those crayon colors.

Barb C. 05-13-2013 02:58 PM

Your quilt is very nice. Isn't it fun to do the DP4? I have done several myself. It is fun to see the awe and amazment when you switch the patches, on someones face who doesn't quilt!

nannyrick 05-13-2013 03:40 PM

It's a sensational quilt! That will be very interesting to a baby. Hope he/she arrives soon! The waiting is always so hard when it gets so close or late.
