All the fabrics are Moda Simplicity range...except the lime green border, all these fabrics were donated by Cathy M as part of a massive fabric donation to Spain...heres a link if you want to see how very generous all our friends here have been!!

I love it! I was planning on making the same pattern with that collection but the charms I ordered got lost in the mail : (

I can't wait to see the finished quilt. What backing are you going to use?

Izy 09-03-2008 05:38 PM

Thanks for your compliments everyone...I will use the remainder of the border fabrics with a soft pink binding, then I am going to quilt it around all the larger squares in the ditch I think :D

such a lovely quilt..the way you put all the fabrics together just makes it!

Izy 09-03-2008 06:56 PM

I spent quite abit of time sorting all the fabrics into colours, density of patterns etc. then arranged each nine patch with five stronger denser patterned squares and four lighter squares...the biggest challenge was arranging the finished blocks to make sure the same fabrics didn't end up together, I think there are only two touching...thank god for a big piece of flannel pinned to the wall. saved my back I can tell you, swap, oh no...clash...swap this one for that one....duh!!!!
