Good job. I know the mom-to-be will really love it.

Pretty! Pretty! Sooo colorful. Congrats!!!

Love your color placement. Bias edges are tough. I usually starch the heck out of my yardage before I even cut, which seems to help. The fact that the fabric came from her MIL, makes it all the more special for her little one. Great job.

makes my eyes spin :-) NICE work

Beautiful quilt! Don't let the bias edges scare you. I learned the hard way that starch is my friend. Whenever dealing with bias shapes, diamonds, hexagons, etc., I starch my strips before I cut them, then handle the pieces as if they are butterflies. After some practice, my pieces rarely stretch. Magic sizing works great, too.

This is the pattern I'm going to use for my family reunion quilt in July. Yours is perfect for a little one.

The colours are just right for a little one so I'm sure it will be well used. The fabrics will bring special memories to your co-worker and nice of you to think of her. Isn't it annoying when work and every day chores get in our way of sewing? I used to knit in buses and trains to and from work and even in cinemas when I was young - just couldn't keep my hands and brain still! Time is too precious to waste.

That is very pretty.
