Zula 04-24-2015 06:36 AM

Beautiful! I love scrappy quilts, in fact that's all I make, but I'm being drawn to two color quilts. I'm going to have to check out the videos at MSQC for this pattern.

EmiliasNana 04-24-2015 06:36 AM

Simply gorgeous in a pattern I have been wanting to try.

huskyquilter 04-24-2015 09:27 AM

What size did the final blocks end up as when starting with a 9.5" block?

caspharm 04-24-2015 10:01 AM

I think it's beautiful.

Nonna Judi 04-24-2015 10:11 AM

What an outstanding quilt. Love the bubble gum pink!

MargeD 04-24-2015 10:32 AM

Beautiful. Curious as to why you used 9.5" squares instead of 10", but it obviously worked. I'm just finishing a purple and white Disappearing Hourglass quilt and it's going to be beautiful, although it is a scrappy purple with the same background for all the blocks.

nannyrick 04-24-2015 10:48 AM

WOW!!! Beautiful quilt. Great job.

snel001 04-24-2015 11:17 AM

Beautiful ! Great job!

Magnificent quilt, when fewer fabrics/colours are used I think it shows off the quilt more, but that is just my opinion. Well done.

solstice3 04-24-2015 05:12 PM

Very striking!

NIICHMOM 04-24-2015 05:31 PM

I love your 2 color quilt, I too LOVE 2 color. and this is the quilt that I have planned on doing when I get the 2 quilts I am now working on (hand quilting). I have two 2-color quilt tops done, 1 is going to a quilter... the other can wait until it is needed... (made for a DGS when he decides to marry, it is the Hunter's Star for Hunter, my DGS. Both 2 color quilt tops.

coachmatthewsvhs 04-24-2015 05:43 PM

I LOVE your quilt..... thinking a disappearing hourglass will be my next quilt!!!!

matraina 04-24-2015 07:30 PM

Love it. The two colors show off the pattern really well. I intend to do a scrappy one out of my late niece's clothes for her daughter.

diamondee 04-24-2015 08:38 PM

Did you have any trouble with all the bias edges? I did a sample block and love the way it looks. But is sure is stretchy? Any tips? SVAL

maryb119 04-25-2015 12:45 PM

I love your pink and white DHG. It's a beauty and the border is perfect. I have fabric to make one in black and white. Thanks for the inspiration.

I have heard that several people had trouble with bias edges on this pattern; however i ran into no trouble with bias edges. Seems to me that the tiny bit of stretch made the blocks go together perfectly. One thing that I have always done when piecing is to keep a stray bottle of water with a small amount of starch in it at my piecing station to press as I piece. Maybe that is what helped to keep the bias play nicely.

Great job on quilt

rainsprite 04-26-2015 12:58 PM

LLLove your quilt. We, our quilt group just started this pattern. Mostly prints and solid used so lots of interpretations.
I am just about to begin cutting, I think 10" squares. Thank you for your beautiful piece.

This is very stunning.

Love the contrasting colors! And I really love the borders! When I first saw it I thought the binding was a small border, and I really liked it, but it will be lovely as the binding. Nice job!
