My friend usually makes Take 5 quilts, but changed it up a bit with this Disappearing Nine Patch. It is flannel with wool batting. Luscious!! Front and back shown here.

This is a beautiful quilt but I don't think that it is D9P as the squares are too off set. If it is D9P, I too would like to know how they laid this one out.

oh that looks so COZY! I have made a couple of quilts with flannel, and while I absolutely hate sewing with it, I absolutely love the feel of a quilt made with flannel! That is a gorgeous quilting design! It makes me think of snails or some part of a cell or something :)

I love the quilting design. Its enough .. but not so much that that piecing is lost in the quilting. Perfect compliment. I finally got my eyes to see the dissappearing nine patch unit. Never much cared for the pattern until now .. love it.
