Just to add a little more info on making the 'disappearing pinwheel'.....if you don't like working with bias edges, then make your beginning pinwheel the normal way, then do the cutting as the video shows and you will be working with straight edges. A quilter in my guild figured that out. I did it with bias edges. You just have to be careful and not stretch the edges. Doing it the other way you can come up with a size that evenly divides for the cross-cutting instead of an odd fraction that makes it a little difficult to get all the cut up squares the same. I started with 12 1/2" sqs and came out with 15 1/4" unfinished. The video starts with 10" sqs.
Hope this isn't too confusing.

Very lovely quilt with the way you put it together the center looks like basketballs to me.

I love the brightness of your fabric choice. I will try to show the Guild ladies how to make this block. It's my turn to present a mini lesson.

It is confusing for me so I need a little bit more explanation since I hope to use this as a mini lesson at my guild meeting this month. When you say make you pin wheels the normal way, Just exactly what do you mean. And what size would your pin wheels be? Appreciate the help. You can send me a PM if you would rather. Thanks

It's very nice. I hope it makes lots of money at the raffle.
