Disappearing pinwheel
Am I the only "wet blanket"? I feel I am a somewhat seasoned quilter and thought I could handle the bias edges. I did not find them easy to handle and having cut fabric for pinwheel for 15 blocks, I did not want to abandon the project, so I continued, carefully cutting, sewing and pressing. Using an alternate block between and completing the top, I laid it out for sandwiching, pinning and finally FMQ. The pinwheel block will not lay flat. What a mess!
All this to say, I will use the old method of preparing the center pinwheel, HST, etc the next time. I love Jenny and her tutes, but will not use her method for the block again. Has anyone else had any similar problems? |
