I really like your cheddar background. It was such an important color for antique quilts and I am so glad to see it come back into quilting fashion. You have combined it so beautifully with the contemporary pattern. So pretty.

I think that is a type of "1,000 pyramids", designed to use even the smallest of scraps. I have found even pieced triangles(tiny as they were) on antique quilts.
